The device determines the depth of penetration of water in the concrete at 6 points under known pressure and time.

 

Cube, cylinder and prism samples with maximum dimensions of 200x200x200 mm are accepted. The sample is placed in the test cabinet, compressed with suitable connections and gaskets, and then the known pressurized water is applied to the sample surface at the desired time and standard.

A suitable air compressor is required which can produce an air pressure of 5 bar. The water permeability is read from the fracture of the sample or directly from the graduated burette fixed to the front panel.

The device is used for measuring air content in fresh concrete. It consists of a flanged cylindrical container with a capacity of 7 liters and a flanged cover with pressure gauge (manometer), air pump, air chamber, air relief valve, water inlet and outlet valves.

The pressure gauge is divided into 0.1% up to 6% air content and 0.2% interval between 6% and 10% air content.
